Minister promises new policy

Bhadrapur, October 21:

Minister for Labour and Transport Management (LTM) Lekhraj Bhatt said the government would soon introduce new industrial policy after necessary discussions with the concerned stakeholders.

While speaking at a programme organised in Bhadrapur today by Nepal Tea Producers Association (NTPA), central office, Jhapa, he made it clear that foreign capital would be invited after mobilising national capital.

The government determined minimum wages of workers by holding discussion, he said adding that the government would not remain as a mute spectator if the problems were not settled through dialogue.

Constituent Assembly Member Gaurishanker Kha-dka said government should arrange for special budget for the promotion of tea.

NTPA Chandi Raj Parajuli presided over the program-me, where advisor Ganesh Kumar Burma, including former FNCCI president Chandi Raj Dhakal also spoke.
