Nepal Automobiles Dealers Association (NADA) has welcomed the budget for waiving custom duties on the environment friendly electrical vehicles with a view to protecting environment.

In a statement issued today, NADA said the waiving of custom duties on tier tube and hydroelectric brake oil has come as a relief while expressing its conviction that waiving of tax on vintage vehicles of classic and historic importance dating back to 1960s or beyond will contribute to protection and promotion of such vehicles. “However, the provision to give more power to a tax officer might back fire,” NADA said.
