BoAN, NLIC sign deal
KATHMANDU: Bank of Asia Nepal Ltd (BoAN) will be working as the Institutional Life Insurance Agent for Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC). BoAN’s CEO Parashuram Kunwar Chhetri and NLIC’s CEO Manoj Kumar Bhattarai signed the agreement. The move is expected to help expand the life insurance business and create good investment opportunities.
Kist 46th branch
KATHMANDU: Kist Bank Ltd (Kist) opened its 46th branch in Kathmandu’s Sway-ambhu on Thursday. Kist plans to extend its banking network to 50 branches within the end of current fiscal year. With the branch in Swayambhu, the bank has now 18 branches in Kathmandu and 28 outside the Valley.
NATTA calls on PM
KATHMANDU: Representatives of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) together with Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal, and Nepal Tourism Board during a meeting with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal insisted the latter to support Nepal Airlines Corporation’s bid to purchase new aircrafts. During the meeting, tourism entrepreneurs urged the PM to show concern regarding Nepal Tourism Year 2011, which aims to bring one million tourists. Issuing a press release, NATTA has urged the government to increase the number of national flag carriers for the success of NTY 2011.
