Goats distribution

GORKHA: Gorkha Municipality has started distributed goats free of cost inside municipality area in a bid to reduce poverty. The local authority has planned to distribute goats in all municipality areas within this year. In the first phase, goats were distributed free of cost at wards no 9, 10 and 11 on Thursday. Besides goat distribution, we have been thinking to construct public toilets and distribute fans inside the municipality, said Bijaya Bhakta Upadhaya, chief of community development section, Gorkha Municipality.

Wheat output to fall

SIRAHA: Siraha will record decrease of 9,200 metric tonnes of wheat crop from 43,200 metric tonnes last year. The massive decline is because of the drought-like situation that lasted for long. The total production will stand at 34,000 metric tonnes, adding that plantation was done on 17,000 hectares of area. Wheat crop was planted on 18,000 hectares. Crop
