CSR for journalist

KATHMANDU: Everest Insurance Company Ltd, a non-life insurance company donated a scooter to journalist Gajendra Budhathoki of Karobar daily. Constituent Assembly (CA) vice-chairperson Purna Kumari Subedi handed over the key of the especially designed four-wheel scooter to Budhathoki on Monday. CA member and Khetan Group chairman Rajendra Khetan, CA member Neelam KC, president of Society of Economic Journalist (Sejon) Narayan Sapakota were present on the occasion. Budhathoki was hurt in a road mishap over a year ago.

SDBL opens branch

KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Development Bank Ltd inaugurated its branch office at Chipledhunga, Pokhara. According to the press statement issued, the bank has facilitated its customer with schemes that is Savi Deposit that has 18 months fix deposit account with 12.5 per cent interest rate and Unnati BAchat with with 9 per cent interest rate.

New bank opens

KATHMANDU: Rapti Bheri Bikas Bank Ltd got inaugurated on Friday. According to the press statement issued, during the inauguration 96 customers of the bank opened bank account of Rs 60 lakh.

Virgin Whisky ISO-ed

KATHMANDU: Virgin Whisky, a product of Highland Distilleries, completed nine years of existence in the market on Monday and entered its 10th year. On the occasion, Highland Distilleries has also got the ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System certificate.
