NPC vice-chair quits
KATHMANDU: The vice-chairman of National Planning Commission (NPC) Min Bahadur Shrestha has resigned from his post. Shrestha submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba Monday afternoon.
The Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government had appointed Shrestha as NPC vice-chair on September 2 last year. “The change in government also brings along change in the leadership and vision of the government,” Shrestha told The Himalayan Times as he confirmed his resignation from the NPC post.
There is a trend of NPC vice-chair resigning from the post of apex planning body of the government alongwith formation of new government.
