Kathmandu, January 13:

Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI) held its 11th annual general meeting (AGM) here yesterday.

Dr Andrew Hall, British envoy to Nepal, inaugurated the AGM, where Bharat Bahadur Thapa, industry, commerce and supplies secretary was the guest of honour.

Mahendra K Shrestha, president of NBCCI said that NBCCI will assist the members in increasing Nepal’s trade, commerce and investment activities with the UK. He also stressed on the need for industrial security. “It will ultimately help create more employment opportunities.”

Envoy Hall assured that the UK will continue its support in building a better Nepal. He highlighted the need for protection of individual rights and rights to business.
