Ncell 3G expansion

KATHMANDU: Ncell has continued its 3G network expansion drive even after the devastating earthquake of April 25. The company recently expanded 3G service in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality of Doti district. With the expansion of 3G services to one more district of the far-western region, the total number of districts with 3G coverage by Ncell has reached 63, as per a press statement issued on Thursday. “We have expanded 3G services to 57 new village development committees (VDCs) in the first seven months of 2015. In 25 of the VDCs, the expansion was done after the earthquake,” the statement quoted Andras Pali, chief technology officer at Ncell, as saying. Ncell has been consistently expanding 3G in new VDCs and districts with an aim to increase access and facilitate digital inclusion, which enables people to adopt technology to enhance knowledge, remain connected with the world and tap opportunities.
