Ncell App Camp receives 728 ideas

KATHMANDU: A total of 728 ideas have been submitted under the four categories of Ncell App Camp, the country’s biggest mobile app development conclave. The registration process to participate in the competition was closed from 12 noon on Sunday.

Out of the four categories, utilities category received the maximum number of applications with 290 app ideas. Similarly, 153 ideas have been submitted under tourism category and 147 ideas under health category.

Games and entertainment category holds the least number of applications with 138 app ideas. All categories, except for tourism, are new to this year’s Ncell App Camp. The registration for the competition has almost doubled this year.

While last year 457 app ideas were submitted for the competition, the response this year has been overwhelming. The 728 submissions within a span of 40 days for registration show youth’s interest to establish their own innovative businesses and their enthusiasm to drive the country towards digitization.

The top 150 teams will be announced online on September 23 at www.ncellappcamp.com.
