KATHMANDU, AUGUST 14

Ncell has launched Ncell Business Cloudsuite, a locally supported platform offering domain registration and professional web hosting services for businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, educational institutions and other organisations.

The platform combines domain registration and website hosting, allowing customers to manage their online presence through a single service. It also provides domain renewal and transfer assistance, DNS management, domain forwarding, subdomain management and centralised domain administration.

Ncell said the service is designed to support businesses as more organisations in Nepal move their operations online. Customers can make payments in Nepali rupees instead of purchasing international hosting services in foreign currency.

The Cloudsuite is available in two packages. The Basic package, priced at Rs 1,000 per month, includes 3GB shared storage, professional email accounts, SSL certification, automated backups and security protection.

The Pro package, priced at Rs 2,000 per month, offers enhanced storage and data transfer, up to 20 professional email accounts, 10 databases and up to five subdomains, along with SSL certification, automated backups and security protection.

Dion Asencio, chief enterprise business officer at Ncell, said the platform was intended to make it easier for Nepali businesses to establish and manage a digital presence.

Ncell said the platform supports hosting and data residency within Nepal, allowing customers to keep their website data and digital assets in the country. The company said this would provide organisations with greater control over their data and help them meet regulatory requirements.
