Nepal Airlines Corporation to finalise negotiation today

Kathmandu, March 14

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has said that negotiation with aircraft supplier, AAR Corporation, will be concluded on Wednesday.

The cost of the aircraft, delivery date and seat configuration (business and economy) will be finalised during the negotiation. NAC technical team led by its Director Prabhas Karmacharya and representatives from AAR Corporation have been holding negotiation talks here since Monday, according to NAC officials.

The American leasing company, AAR Corporation, was selected to supply two Airbus A330-200 series aircraft for the national flag carrier through a global bidding process. AAR had the lowest offer among the six qualified bidders, and has proposed to supply the wide-body A330-200 series aircraft at $104.8 million each but the rate may slightly change during the negotiation.

NAC has opted for the wide-body aircraft in its international fleet as per its plan to expand its network to South Korea, Japan, Australia and European countries.
