KATHMAHDU: Nepal Life Insurance Co (NLIC) has handed over the claim amount of Rs 1.036 million to the family members of Durga Kumari Khadka, a resident of Kamalamai Municaplity-6 of Sindhuli district, who passed away due to landslide.

In a bid to raise awareness and simplify the procedures of claims, the company handed over the insurance amount to the family members on August 13, within 24 hours of untimely demise of Khadga on August 12, as per a press statement.

The claim amount was handed over to the husband of the deceased, Udaya Bhahadur Khadka by NLIC Deputy Manager Birodh Bhatta.
