Nepal-Malta Chamber of Commerce formed

KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal, UK organised Nepal Development Conference in collaboration with Nepal-Malta Chamber of Commerce (NMCC), on Tuesday.

Nepali Ambassador to UK, Ireland and Malta, Durga Bahadur Subedi addressed the conference and urged business communities of Malta to invest in Nepal. The theme of the conference was to inspire trade, tourism and investment sectors to extend business and connectivity in Nepal.

On the occasion, presentations were made that highlighted business possibilities between Nepal and Malta. At the conference, advisor Som Sapkota gave a presentation on 'Tourism Potential between Malta and Nepal'.

Likewise, Ambassador Subedi officially announced the formation of NMCC and congratulated the new team led by its president Tek Bahadur Mahat.

Ambassador Subedi is the patron for the NMCC while Som Sapkota, Tomas Mikalaukas and Prithvi Rak Rai have been picked as its advisors. Likewise, Chinta Mani Neupane, Man Bahadur Budha Magar and Laxman Aryal have been picked as vice presidents for the NMCC.

Similarly, Bhesh Raj Dawadi, Anju Laxmi Pradhan and Pragyawati Rai have been picked as general secretary, secretary and treasurer respectively. Other executive members include Deepak Sharma, Kalyan Joshi, Ramji Belbase, Yog Raj Kadel, Deepak Rana, Bharat Kumar Shrestha and Dev Raj Karki.
