Nepal Telecom to distribute cash dividend
KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom Company Limited has decided to provide Rs 55 in dividend per share from the profit of fiscal year 2073/074 BS.
The 10th annual general assembly of the Company held on Sunday unanimously decided to distribute Rs 55 in dividend per share and amend the Company's Regulations.
It is said that more than 91 per cent of the shareholders were present in the general assembly.
Company's Chairman and Secretary of Ministry of Information and Communications Kedar Bahadur Adhikari said that the Company managed better profit by contributing in overall development and expansions of telecommunications sector.
According to Adhikari, NTC earned Rs 15.37 billion as net profit in the last fiscal year and the total service receivers of Nepal Telecom stood at 17.6 million following a 17.23 per cent rise compared to the previous fiscal.
He also informed that the Company would work to materialise the concept of digital inclusion and reduce the digital divide by availing the information and communications technology in the remote and rural areas of the country.
