Nepal Tourism Board celebrates 11th anniv

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) celebrated its 11th anniversary on November 18. It was established in 1998 under Public-Private Partnership while seeking the opportunity and scope to promote and establish Nepal as a prominent tourist destination worldwide by maintaining, improving and diversifying the available tourism products and services.

With different tourism campaigns under its belt, it is moving towards future achievement showing commitment and effort for making Nepal Tourism Year 2011 a success. NTB is a successful example of Public-Private Partnership with concerted effort to promote Nepal as a popular tourist destination in the global travel market. In addition, the government has placed tourism on the priority list of national income resources. It has already 2011 as Nepal Tourism Year. NTB also unveiled the new 'In Focus 2009' -- its publication. Awards were also given to different NTB employees regarding NTB Corporate Cup TT Singles and Doubles, Quiz competition 2009 and NTB CEO Cup TT Singles and Doubles.
