Nepali business team leaves for Thailand

Kathmandu, May 19:

A 20-member team of Nepali business and industrial community led by Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, left today for Bangkok for a nine day visit of Thailand and China. Phenchome Inscharoensak, ambassador of Thailand to Nepal and Dinesh Chandra Pyakurel, secretary at the ministry of industry, commerce and supply are also part of the delegation. The delegation, during its visit to Thailand, is scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding with Thai Chamber of Commerce and will organise an interactive programme on trade opportunities in Nepal.

The delegation is also scheduled to meet Thai ministers of tourism and commerce during the visit and would discuss ways for promotion and development of bilateral trade and tourism between the two courtiers. Nepal-Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Thai-Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry would sign a pact on the occasion. Then, the delegation will leave for Chengdu, an industrial state in China on May 22. Nepali commerce secretary Pyakurel will lead the team during its visit to China.

NCC is expected to sign separate agreements with International Chamber of Commerce, China, Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, Chongqing Chamber of Commerce and Guangzou Chamber of Commerce for bilateral promotion of trade, tourism and investment.
