Nepali handicraft pavilion in China

Kathmandu, November 13:

With a view to promote Nepali handicraft goods in China, a Nepali pavilion will be set up at Jiuzhai-Dream International Amusement & Shopping Mall of Jiuzhagou tourism area of Sichuan province.

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Mall have signed an agreement to this effect. Kush Kumar Joshi, second vice-president of FNCCI and Zhao Xifeng, director of the mall signed the accord on behalf of their respective organisations.

Suresh Pradhan, charge de affaires of Nepali embassy in Beijing, was also present on the occasion. Joshi, who is also the coordinator of Nepal-China Non Governmental Cooperation Forum, is on a visit to China.

FNCCI had earlier proposed to the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce to set up the Nepali pavilion. The Nepali business team also took part in Asia-Invest Forum China 2006 organised by European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.
