KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 16

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the country's lone secondary market, rose 69.22 points, or 2.55 per cent, to 2784.58 points, on Tuesday.

After a protracted dip following the reopening of the market after the Tihar festival, the benchmark index continued to rebound on Tuesday for the second day. On Monday, the index rose 26.44 points.

In the meantime, the sensitive index rose 14.92 points, or 2.95 per cent, to 521.46 points at the conclusion of the day. The float index also ended the day at 193.29 points, up 4.59 points or 2.43 per cent.

Today, all of the sub-indices marked an increase with Life Insurance index topping the field with 268.12 points.

On Tuesday, the daily turnover grew to Rs 5.521 billion, with a total of 10,093,221 units of shares of altogether 227 companies traded at Rs 5.521 billion. The daily turnover on Monday was recorded at Rs 4.734 billion.

The market capitalisation was Rs 3.916 trillion after the share transaction.
