KATHMANDU, JULY 25
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index concluded today's trading session at 2,164.31 points, experiencing a decline of 36.19 points or 1.64% compared to the previous day's closing. This follows a previous decrease of 26.66 points in yesterday's session.
The day began with the index opening at 2,202.99 and reaching an intraday high of 2,206.46. However, it displayed a downward trend throughout the trading session, hitting an intraday low of 2,162.55, before finally settling at 2,164.31.
In today's trading, there were a total of 267 scrips exchanged through 53,570 transactions, with a significant volume of shares traded, amounting to 7,716,277, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 2.92 Arba. The Float index experienced a loss of 1.84% and is currently at 149.76, while the Sensitive index also decreased by 1.81% and now stands at 411.16.
The market capitalization stood at Rs. 3.18 Trillion, while the float market capitalization was at Rs. 1.12 Trillion.
Among the stocks, Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 15.27 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 473. The shares of KBL were the most actively traded.
Noteworthy, Kisan Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KLBSL) recorded the highest gain of 10%, reaching the positive circuit for the day.
On the other hand, Nabil Debenture 2085 (NBLD85) saw the highest decline of 6.87%.
Regarding sector indices, only the "Hotel and Tourism" sector closed with a gain of 1.22%, while the "Banking" sector registered the highest loss of 2.75%. The "Trading" sector had the smallest decline, decreasing by 0.12%.
