Nepse increases trading hours

Kathmandu, December 19:

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has increased the trading hours — due to increasing trading pressure to three hours from the current two hours — from Sunday.

The trading floor at the Nepse — from the begining — has been opening from 12.00 noon to 2.00 PM, for two hours. “From Sunday the floor will be opened for three hours from 12.00 noon to 3.00 PM,” states a press release issued here today by the Nepse. “Small investors will benefit from the increase in trading hours.”

Nepali capital market has been recently aggressively trying to modernise itself. It has, after the market automation, provided an added service of Wide Area Network to 11 brokers.

Similarly, Nepse has also recently started to provide Real Time Information and introducing Over the Counter (OTC) trading soon.
