Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the country's sole secondary market reached all-time high point yet again after it closed at 2,906.91 points on Sunday, marking a 1.76 per cent increase.

The benchmark index rose by 50.14 points on the first trading day of the week to set another record.

Similarly, the sensitive index measuring the performance of Class 'A' stocks, rose by 1.54 per cent or 7.88 points to 521 points.

The float index that gauges performances of shares actually traded also rose by 2.09 per cent or 4.11 points to 201.35 points.

The trading market today also saw a significant rise in the daily turnover with 37,455,189 units of altogether 218 companies were traded at Rs 17.271 billion.

After the end of the day, the total market capitalisation reached Rs 4.033 trillion.

In today's market, Development Bank index led the pack of gainers with 96.31 points increase while the life insurance index was the top loser with 125.40 points decrease.

Mahila Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBSL) was the top gainer with 475 point change while Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd (RADHI) was the top loser with 98 point decrease.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) was registered as the top company in terms of volume and transaction numbers while Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the total Turnover amounting to Rs 1.211 billion.

The hydropower sector again recorded a loss in today's market.
