Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the sole secondary market of the country, has reached an all-time high point with the index standing at 2,793.81, a 1.2 per cent increase, on Tuesday.
The benchmark index that measures share transactions in the stock market opened at 2,784.6 and rose by 34.59 points.
Similarly, the sensitive index measuring the performance of Class 'A' stocks rose to 497.23 with an increase of 0.94 per cent.
Likewise, the float index that gauges the performance of shares actually traded also reached 191.41 with an increase of 1.14 per cent.
A total of 23,131,615 unit shares of altogether 215 companies were traded at Rs 11.359 billion in the market today.
All sub-indices recorded positive change today except for the Manufacturing and Processing index with it falling to 6,003.97, a 5.28-point fall.
Life insurance index led the pack with a 205.20 point rise followed by Hotels and Tourism index with 200.18-point increase.
