NFCCI plans Nepal Expo in France

Kathmandu, February 14:

The new executive committee of Nepal France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NFCCI) led by its president Shyam Mohan Shrestha is going to organise Nepal Expo in France by inviting Nepali and French importers and exporters to boost trade and economic activities between the two countries to reduce trade deficit.

For the past few years, Nepal’s trade deficit with France is gradually narrowing down, states a pre-ss release. Nepal exports carpets, readymade garm-ents, handicrafts including substantial Nepali handmade papers and imports electrical, mechanical equipment and aircraft spare parts from France.

Nepal exported goods worth Rs 617.8 million to France and imported goods worth Rs 668 .4 million in the fiscal 2004-05.

The 10th AGM of NFCCI has formed a new executive committee, where Ra-mesh Khetan, Kailash B Shrestha and Rajan Amat-ya are elected vice-president, general secretary and treasurer respectively.
