NIC Asia loan scheme

KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank has introduced the deprived sector lending with an aim to help the farmers of the rural areas of the country have access to financial services.

During the National Financial Literacy Programme organised in Attariya of Kailali, Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Chiranjibi Nepal handed over a loan approval certificate worth Rs seven lakh to Kumari Damai, a customer of NIC Asia Bank’s Attariya branch, to launch the loan scheme.

On the occasion, Laxman Risal, CEO of the bank, said that the bank would fulfil the provision of two per cent direct lending for deprived sector by the end of this fiscal as directed by the central bank. He also mentioned that the loan scheme was started to help provide easy loans to the deprived communities of the country.
