NMB Bank starts branchless banking

KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has started its branchless banking service in Maha Manjushree Nagarkot Municipality (Sudal village), of Bhaktapur, from Wednesday.

The service was inaugurated by Upendra Poudyal, CEO of the bank. Speaking at the inauguration programme, Poudyal highlighted the aim of the bank to reach the doorstep of every citizen of the country through branchless banking services.

Similarly, he handed over a point of transaction (POT) machine to a representative of the bank for branchless banking service in Sudal. With the help of POT machine, financial transactions such as cash deposit/withdrawal, balance transfer, utility payment, balance enquiry, etc can be done securely using card and thumb impression of customers.

Currently, the bank has been providing services through 72 branches, 57 ATMs and seven extension counters.
