NMB gets new CEO

KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has appointed Sunil KC as its chief executive officer (CEO). KC was instated as the new CEO by the bank’s board of directors led by Chairman Pawan Kumar Golyan on Tuesday, as per a media release.

With a strong banking experience of 27 years, he has been with NMB Bank for the past eight years and was the deputy CEO before taking up his new role. KC succeeds Upendra Poudyal, who held the position of CEO of NMB Bank for 17 years and retired this year.

Taking charge as the new CEO, KC has been quoted as saying ‘NMB Bank will continue to grow in line with our strategy. We will explore platforms to invest in local communities and the real economy and promote value-based banking for a self-reliant Nepal’.
