Kathmandu: The National Planning Commission (NPC) will employ a new method to evaluate plans and programmes being implemented by different ministries.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JAICA) has lent economic and technical assistance to prepare the new mechanism. At a symposium organised by NPC and JAICA here, NPC vice-chairman Dr Gun Nidhi Sharma said NPC would present a new framework during the upcoming meeting of Nepal Development Forum.

Japan’s envoy to Nepal Tatsuo Mizuno said Japan was giving its economic and technical support to Nepal.
