KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 12

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has taken action against five money changers by revoking their licenses, on Monday.

According to NRB, the licenses were revoked in accordance with Clause 19, Sub-Clause 3 of the Nepal Rastra Bank Moneychanger License and Inspection Regulations, 2077 BS after these money changers failed to renew their licenses within the prescribed timeframe.

The affected entities include Fair Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd in Basantapur, Kathmandu; Nyatpol Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd in Taumadhi, Bhaktapur; Kailash Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd. in Chhetrapati, Kathmandu; Grae Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd. in Timure, Gosaikunda, Rasuwa; and Root Nepal Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd in Laldurbar, Kathmandu.
