The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a notice urging everyone not to be swayed by misinformation aimed at misleading the general public regarding the sensitive banking sector.

In the notice released on Tuesday, the central bank has encouraged investors, depositors, clients, and stakeholders to confidently continue their banking transactions.

The NRB has expressed serious concern over the misleading statements and misinformation spread by certain individuals and groups regarding the operation and stability of banks and financial institutions (BFIs) directly regulated and supervised by the central bank.

Furthermore, the central bank emphasized that the banking sector serves as the backbone of the country's economy. The NRB highlighted its regular monitoring and supervision of banks to ensure the stability of BFIs and to foster public trust.
