KATHMANDU: Nepal SBI Bank Ltd (NSBL) and Heifer International Nepal (HIN) have inked an agreement on value chain financing of women entrepreneurs and smallholder farmers.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of NSBL Mohammad Rizwan Alam and Country Director of HIN Shubh Narayan Mahato on behalf of their respective organisations in the presence of HIN's Senior Director of Asia Programmes Neena Joshi and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NSBL Dipak Kumar De, as per a press release.
The main objective of the agreement is to help expand and foster the agriculture business of youth, women and smallholder farmers by increasing their access to credit.
