NYEF organises YESW 2018

With a mission to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) organised ‘Laxmi Bank Fourth Young Entrepreneurs’ Summit - Women (YESW) 2018’ today with the theme of ‘Connect, Collaborate, Create’.
Altogether, 170 participants that included entrepreneurs, students and business leaders took part in the programme. Other organisations involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem such as FWEAN, ILO, DANIDA, and Women Lead Nepal were also present in the event showing their support.
Welcoming the participants, Executive Member of NYEF Kathmandu Chapter Prasanna Basnet, stated that platforms like these provide an opportunity to people to explore their entrepreneurial potential.
Similarly, Juna Mathema, chairperson of Young Entrepreneurs’ Summit - Women, stated that the event was an opportunity for young women entrepreneurs of Nepal to showcase their businesses. She further mentioned that the programme also provided a chance for participants to share their business ideas.
Shailee Basnet, a former journalist who has also been successful in summitting Mt Everest and who now leads programmes dedicated to education and empowerment and is a motivational speaker, followed with her empowering keynote speech titled ‘Everest to Empowerment’.
With a focus on expanding learning process, workshops such as ‘Entrepreneurship: The spirit and the strategies’ was held by Manasi Agrawal and ‘Legal things to remember when you start a business’ was held by Shraddha Bhattarai, which was well appreciated by participants.
