Ozark Gear opens showroom

Kathmandu, May 28 :

Ozark Gear, a Beijing-based China’s leading mountaineeri-ng gear firm, has opened its first sales centre in Kathmandu.

Ang Tshering Sherpa, president of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) inaugurated the sales centre at Narsinga Chowk, Thamel Marg, today.

Ozark Gear specialises in the manufacture of a wide range of mountaineering and alpine equipment such as high and low altitude camping tents, sleeping bags, Goretex mountain clothing, light wears for adventure, trekking and hiking boots, and other alpine fashion products, states a press release.

According to chief of Nepal Sales Centre Suman Panday, the Ozark Gear has gained good reputation and credibility from its global clients, as they have used the Ozark Gear products in numbers of expeditions, from trekking peaks to scaling of Mt Everest.

The inaugural was also attended by Korean and Nepali mountaineers from ‘2007 Korea flying Jump Hae Everest Expedition’ who recently returned from a successful expedition of Mt Everest from the north side. The team used Ozark Gears’s tents during the expedition from Advance Base Camp (6400m) to Camp IV (8300m).
