PACT meeting on floriculture
KATHMANDU: The Project for Agricultural Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) under the Ministry of Agricultural Development on Tuesday held a cut flower value chain roundtable meeting in Kathmandu.
MoAD Secretary Uttam Kumar Bhattarai said the programme could not be postponed despite death of former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala as floriculturists from various parts of the nation had arrived in the Capital for the function.
Government officials, representatives of floriculturists, flower traders, cooperatives and input suppliers had presented working papers in the meeting and held discussions over various issues.
Meanwhile, PACT concluded a two-day review workshop with experts and officials in Kathmandu on Monday.
As many as 60 persons including World Bank Task Team Leader Patrick Verissimo were present at the meeting.
