PACT training for agriculture, veterinary officials
KATHMANDU: The Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) under the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD) conducted training on environmental and social safeguards.
Officials of central, regional and district level agricultural and veterinary offices including plant protection officers and planning officers, working as focal persons for the Project, were participants of the training held in Harihar Bhawan of Lalitpur on Thursday and Friday.
The Project said the participants would be mobilised in monitoring of its activities in the future.
Addressing the officials, PACT Director Indra Kanta Jha said the training would be helpful in disseminating information related to environmental safeguards to farmers at the grassroots.
Participants had shared that the training was fruitful for them.
According to the Project, similar training programmes would be conducted in all development regions.
Training in Pokhara would be held next week while the events in Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Biratnagar would be held next month.
