Parliament passes Special Economic Zone Bill
KATHMANDU: The Legislature-Parliament has passed the Special Economic Zone Bill, 2016, with a majority.
Earlier, responding to questions raised by lawmakers during discussions on the Bill in the Parliament meeting today, Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi said the Bill had been brought for development of economic sector of the country and boost export trade.
Lawmakers had participated in the discussions on the proposal that the House discuss the SEZ Bill along with the report of the Industry, Commerce and Consumer Welfare Affairs Committee.
Meanwhile, the next Parliament meeting has been scheduled for 2 pm on Tuesday, August 30.
