Hotels in Pokhara are offering up to 20 per cent discount for guests during Phewa New Year Festival, which is going to be held in the Lake City from April 10 to 14.

The western regional chapter of Hotel Association Nepal, Pokhara has been taking a lead role in Phewa New Year Festival, which is expected to lure domestic as well as foreign tourists.

Organising a press meet here today, Bharat Raj Parajuli, president of western regional chapter of Hotel Association Nepal, said that the festival has been initiated to celebrate Nepali New Year.

Street food festival from Ambote to Hallanchowk of Pokhara has been also scheduled in collaboration with Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal, Pokhara.

Tourism entrepreneurs of various sectors in Pokhara like, travel and tours, among others are joining hands

for the celebration, which is also aimed at conserving Phewa Lake.

Travel and tour operators are also preparing to announce various offers during the festival, informed Bikal Tulachan, convener of the festival. Various agricultural products, stalls of travel and tour agencies, banks and financial institutions, among others, will be put up during the event.
