All the preparations for the grand finale of Huawei ICT award have been completed.

The grand finale will be held on Saturday — December 26, Living with ICT, the organiser of the event said during a press meet today.

The organisers further informed that only the finalists a limited number of guests will be attending the final event in view of the pandemic and all necessary precautionary measures will be adopted.

All the nominees used to be among the participants in the finale in the past years.

More than 350 online nominations were received this year for 11 different categories.

Among them, winners of Start-up ICT Award, Product ICT Award, Rising Student ICT Award and Ncell Innovation ICT Award have already been announced. Similarly, the top three in the Digital Education and Digital Governance ICT Awards have also been announced.

Meanwhile, the winners of Pioneer ICT Award, Entrepreneur ICT Award, Nepali Diaspora ICT Award, Women Icon ICT Award and Media Person ICT Award 2020 will be announced during the finale.

This year, the winners of Start-up ICT Award, Product ICT Award, Rising Student ICT Award and Innovation Driven Crisis Response ICT Award 2020 will have the opportunity to be included in concessional loan facility of up to Rs five million under Start-up Fund of the government. Banking partner Rastriya Banijya Bank will provide unrestricted concessional loan facility of up to Rs one million.

The winner of the Innovation Driven Crisis Response ICT Award will receive a special prize money worth Rs 300,000 from Ncell.

Nepal Telecom will provide high speed FTTH service to all the winners for one year.

Genius Solutions will provide them Amazon cloud service. Similarly, e-Sewa will promote their businessthrough its app for free. Cyber security partner Eminence Ways will provide support packages for cyber security.
