Baglung, January 31:

Some sub-committees and a main committee were formed on Tuesday for the preparation of Baglung Festival-2063 which is scheduled to be organised during the month of Chaitra (March-April).

The main committee is chaired by Dhruv Raj Neupane, chairman of the Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

For the preparation of the festival, Basanta Kumar Shrestha, Nabaraj Poudel and Nirman Kumar Shrestha have been selected as member-secretary, coordinator of Economic Collection Committee and coordinator of Exhibition Management Committee of the main committee, respectively.

The festival is going to be organised jointly by Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, District Development Committee, Baglung municipality office, Dhawalagiri Zonal Transport Entrepreneurs’ coordination committee, Jeep Entrepreneurs’ Union and Baglung Kalika Bhagawati Guthi. The festival will promote local products from the district.

“During the festival, local tourism areas would also be promoted,” organisers said.
