KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has elected banker Raveena Desraj Shrestha to the post of vice-chairperson of its Women Entrepreneurship Development Committee (WEDC).

Shrestha will serve under the current Chairperson of the committee, Kamala Shrestha, as per a media release. Raveena is the assistant deputy chief executive officer of Mega Bank. She has been elected to the post of vice-chairperson of WEDC considering her contribution to women entrepreneurs in her two-and-a-half decade long banking career, the release adds.

Even as she was elected on Sunday, Raveena received her appointment letter only on Tuesday.
