Retail needs tech, logistics

New Delhi, November 27:

India’s retail sector needs more investments in technology, logistics and cold chain infrastructure, not just ‘construction and buildings’, commerce and industry minister Kamal Nath said here today.

“Technology, logistics and setting up of cold chain infrastructure is what the retail sector needs and that is where investment should come. Construction and buildings do not lie at the heart of retail sector,” Kamal Nath said on the sidelines of the ongoing India Economic Summit, jointly organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
