KATHMANDU: The SAFA International Conference is set to kick off in Kathmandu from Tuesday.

The event is being organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN). South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Conference is an annual conference of chartered accountants of South Asian nations.

“The chairing country of SAFA is responsible to host the event.

As Nepal chairs SAFA this year, we are hosting the conference,” said Prakash Jung Thapa, president of ICAN.

Nepal had organised the SAFA conference in August last year too as the then chair of SAFA Afghanistan expressed unwillingness to host the event.
