Seven more merchant banks to run venture capital business
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 1
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has granted licences to seven additional merchant banks to operate venture capital businesses.
NMB Capital, Laxmi Capital, NIC Asia Capital, Prabhu Capital, Nabil Investment and NIBL Ace Capital were given the green line by the board today.
The board has given licences to the companies that have prepared the required infrastructure in order to operate the market in a systematic way.
Earlier, Chairman of SEBON Rajesh Hamal had said that the remaining eligible companies who have applied for the licences would be given approval in the coming days, adding that it will help increase products in the market.
