Smile Home opened

KATHMANDU: Smile Home, a home for children, was inaugurated by Masamichi Saigo, ambassador of Japan to Nepal, amidst a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Arkhaule, Nuwakot, on Tuesday.

During his inaugural remark, Ambassador Saigo mentioned about the government of Japan’s contribution towards economic and social upliftment, especially in rural and remote regions of the country.

He said, Smile Home, dedicated in providing care, will prove to be a safe and secure place for rural young children while their family members are away working.

Chairperson of Smile Nepal Radhesh Pant, expressed his gratitude to the Japanese government, the local community and all well-wishers for their continued support and encouragement in making Smile Home possible. He mentioned the possibility of replicating similar homes in rural areas across the country.
