KATHMANDU: The construction of a solar mini grid plant has been started to ensure electricity access to people in Susta, a rural municipality located in Parasi district of Province 5.

Being constructed at Susta Rural Municipality-5, Minister for Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation Barsha Man Pun has launched the construction of the project. The project is being constructed under the initiation of Alternative Energy Promotion Centre. As per plan, Susta residents will have access to solar energy within eight months. The project cost is Rs 48.09 million and will benefit a total of 266 households.
