KATHMANDU: A spat broke out at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies today after the ministry officials accused Personal Secretary of Minister Matrika Prasad Yadav, Prem Acharya of taking bribes and interfering with the transfer process of the ministry officials.

Officials, especially with political affiliations, stormed into Acharya’s office, following which the situation became tensed.

Hearing the commotion, Minister Yadav stepped out of his secretariat and warned the ministry officials that they would be put behind the bars if their allegations were proved to be false.

The minister’s intervention managed to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, Acharya have denied any wrongdoing.
