CAN CommTech kicks off

Kathmandu, September 8

A four-day long exhibition of communication technologies started here today.

Inaugurating the ‘Subisu CAN CommTech 2016’, Minister for Information and Communication Technology Surendra Kumar Karki stressed on the need of giving space to Nepali literary creations in the world of internet.

Altogether, 70 firms are showcasing their products and services through 120 stalls in the event. Visitors can visit between 10:00am to 5:00pm till Sunday.

Various stalls in the exhibition have been showcasing telecommunication companies, security accessories, laptops, computers, mobiles and gadgets, and hardware accessories, among others.

Similarly, the internet service providers (ISPs) are also showcasing their services in the exhibition.

The organisers expect over 150, 000 visitors during the event.

The Federation of Computer Association of Nepal has said that it has organised communication technology exhibition for the first time in the country.
