‘Support from local bodies inevitable’

KATHMANDU: The Chief Executive Officer of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Govinda Raj Pokhrel has sought support from the local communities in the country to expedite the reconstruction process after the earthquake of April 25, 2015.

Speaking at a programme organised by Shanti Education Initiative Nepal (SEI Nepal), in Lalitpur, on Friday, Pokhrel said, “NRA is into a larger project of reconstructing the country and support from all stakeholders including local communities and organisations is inevitable to accomplish reconstruction works on time.”

Speaking on the occasion, Rabindra Maharjan, president of SEI Nepal, said that the organisation has collected Rs 30 million in donation which the organisation aims to invest in reconstruction of schools damaged by the earthquake.
