Syakar introduces all-new Honda Jazz

Syakar Trading Company (STC), the authorised distributor for Honda cars in Nepal, has launched the all-new Honda Jazz.

With its sporty crossfade monoform design, bold, super-slick front and side character lines, dynamic alloy wheels and rear spoiler makes, the Honda Jazz is built to stand apart from the crowd, as per the press release. Its elegant aerodynamic style symbolises speed and control, whereas its futuristic cockpit interiors, based on innovative ‘Man Maximum Machine Minimum’ philosophy, offers best-in-segment space (354 litres) and comfort. To provide maximum safety, it consists of dual airbag, ABS, ACR body structure, first-in-segment multi-view reverse camera, and paddle shift.

Honda Jazz comes with 1.2 L i-VTEC petrol engine which strikes a perfect balance by providing an impressive power of 90 ps combined with mileage of 18.7 kmpl in the manual transmission. The new continuous variable transmission with torque converter, on the other hand, offers excellent economy of 19 kmpl.

Honda Jazz comes in a wide range of colours and different variants with the prices ranging from Rs 2.83 million to Rs 3.92 million.

CG MotoCorp announces Chamatkaar scheme

Toyota’s Etios Cross Diesel in market

United Traders Syndicate (UTS), sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal, launched the upgraded version of Etios Cross Diesel at ongoing NADA Auto Show. It was jointly launched by Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat, Suraj Vaidya, president of UTS and Ritu Singh Vaidya, MD of UTS.

The Etios Cross looks more rugged and has an off-roader appearance and sports a new grille guard, distinctive side cladding and a bold front grille, as per the press statement.

In terms of comfort and cabin space, the Etios Cross is superior to its hatchback sibling. A 2-DIN audio system with steering mounted control, AUX-in, USB and blue-tooth connectivity are among other key features. The Etios particularly stands out for its soundproofing. The steering wheel has audio control built into it. The audio system has CD and MP3 and is equipped with a USB port and an auxiliary input jack.

Etios Cross ensures highest standards of safety with dual front SRS airbags, ABS with EBD and globally renowned promise of Toyota’s QDR standards. Tata rolls out all-new Storme

Tata Motors, today, launched the new Storme, which is a rugged, capable off-roader, designed to tackle the treacherous terrains of Nepal. It was unveiled by Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat.

The new Storme is loaded with new performance and connectivity features of DriveNext and ConnectNext, based on the company’s customer focused HorizonNext strategy. The DriveNext feature has enabled better delivery of power and comfort, for an unparalleled driving experience on all terrains, thanks to Tata Motors’ advanced 2.2 L VARICOR engine, as per the press statement.

Completing the driving experience of the new Storme is a fully integrated ConnectNext infotainment system powered by Harman. The infotainment system is unique to the segment, featuring an LCD screen, with Bluetooth connectivity, iPod-in, USB-in and AUX-in, along with a CD and AM-FM player.

The new Storme is a refined vehicle, delivering a performance of zero to 100 km/hr in 14 seconds, provides easy drivability, swifter response and lower NVH (noise, vibration and harshness). The 4x4 variant also features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology.

Nissan launches Premium Micra Hatchback and X-Trail

Dugar Brothers and Sons, sole authorised distributor of Nissan Motors, has launched the Premium Micra Hatchback and X-Trail.

The X-Trail has been redesigned to offer better driving pleasure. It comes with a 2.0 l four-cylinder gasoline DOHC engine with an output of 106kw/6,000rpm, and max torque of 200Nm per 4,400rpm. It has a seven-speed auto transmission. The other features of the X-Trail include power and tilt steering, central door lock, intelligent key and LED head lamp with auto leveliser.

It also sports front dual and side curtain airbags, CD/MP3 player with LCD monitor, auto AC, leather power seat, cruise control, immobiliser and power sunroof. It comes in five- and seven-seat options.

Meanwhile, the Premium Micra Hatchback comes in three variants — Micra XL, Micra XLO and Micra Active XV. Based on the variant the cars come with features such as air bag, front and rear power window, ABS, EBD, BA, push start button, intelligent key, keyless entry system, Bluetooth, and USB/Aux.

MBL brings Easy Car Loan

Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd (MBL) has announced the launch of the ‘MBL Easy Car Loan’, targeting visitors of NADA Auto Show. Issuing a press release, the bank said it will offer auto loans at 7.99 per cent interest with 80 per cent financing and 0.5 per cent processing fee.

The bank also said that it will also offer ‘Two Minute Eligibility Test’ during the auto show whereby visitors can undergo the test on how much loan a customer can get under this scheme. It will also provide loan eligibility certificate which offers information about credit limit for auto loan.

“Visitors submitting the certificate at any of the branches of the bank until mid-September will be entitled for the ‘MBL Easy Car Loan’ scheme,” the release added.

Yamaha unveils three new models

MAW Enterprises, sole authorised distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, has introduced three new models of motorcycles — Saluto in 125cc category and the YZF R3 and the new R15 to complete the Yamaha R-series line up in Nepal. The new Yamaha machines were unveiled at the NADA Auto Show 2015.

The 125cc Saluto is a fuel efficient machine best suited as a family motorcycle. It has best-in-class mileage of 78 kmpl.

Similarly, the YZF R3 incorporates a newly developed 321cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line two-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. The motorcycle’s powerful engine churns out peak power of 42 Ps at 10,750 rpm. With all-new engine and chassis designs, the YZF-R3 sports a solid combination of class-leading power and a lightweight body that achieves high levels of riding performance and styling worthy of the superbike.

Likewise, the new R15 shares the same DNA as that of Yamaha R1, but has a number of aggressive new features. It boasts of true Japanese technology and the 150cc Yamaha engine incorporated in this machine churns out maximum output of 17 Ps at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 15 nm at 7,500 rpm.
