Talk, FNCCI urges trade unions
Kathmandu, September 1:
Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged trade unions to create a friendly environment for solution to problems in Gandak-Pathalaiya industrial corridor.
Issuing a press release, FNCCI demanded that the government provide security in the industrial area. “It is necessary for both the management and the trade unions to hold dialogue, and for that a friendly atmosphere is a must,” said the release. The protest in Gandak-Pathalaiya corridor started on August 28.
Meanwhile, FNCCI extended its working committee in order to amend its statute. The committee was extended under the guidance of ex-president Ananda Raj Mulmi. Senior vice president Suraj Vaidhya is coordinator.
The working committee consists of Gyanendra Lal Pradhan, Lankaman Rokka, Dhruba Narayan Shrestha, and Nirak KC while the working committee consists of former members, Gyanendra Lal Kasaju, Akhil Kumar Chapagai, Birgunj Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Ganesh Prasad Lath, Lahan Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Niras Chaudhari, Nar Bahadur Chanda of Baitadi and Pramila Rijal of the Federation of Women’s Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The FNCCI general meeting was held in Pokhara on June 13.
