LONDON: Britain’s biggest retailer Tesco said on Tuesday that group sales rose by almost nine per cent in its third quarter as consumer confidence improved globally in the 13 weeks to November 28. “We’ve continued to make good progress this quarter with contributions to growth from across the business,” Tesco chief executive Terry Leahy said in a company statement.
